Kayakers rescued after getting into difficulty between Cullen and Portsoy

Two kayakers have been rescued after getting into difficulty off the north-east of Scotland coast.

The alarm was raised following the incident between Cullen and Portsoy at about 11:55 BST.

Macduff and Buckie lifeboats were sent to the scene and the coastguard rescue helicopter was also called in.

The condition of the male and female kayakers is being assessed.
